readme.txtMac OS X Unlocker for VMware V2.0 ================================= 1. Introduction --------------- Unlocker 2 is designed for Workstation 11, Player 7, ESXi 6 and Fusion 7. If you are using an earlier product please continue using Unlocker 1 Version 2 has been tested against: * Workstation 11/12 on Windows and Linux * Player 7 & Workstation Player 12 on Windows and Linux * Fusion 7/8 on Mavericks and Yosemite * ESXi 6.0 The patch code carries out the following modifications dependent on the product being patched: * Fix vmware-vmx and derivatives to allow Mac OS X to boot * Fix vmwarebase .dll or .so to allow Apple to be selected during VM creation * Fix libvmkctl.so on ESXi 6 to allow use with vCenter * Download a copy of the latest VMware Tools for OS X Note that not all products recognise the darwin.iso via install tools menu item. You will have to manually mount the darwin.iso for example on Workstation 11 and Player 7. The vmwarebase code does not need to be patched on OS X or ESXi so you will see a message on those systems telling you that it will not be patched. In all cases make sure VMware is not running, and any background guests have been shutdown. The code is now Python as it makes the Unlocker easier to run and maintain on ESXi. There are some challenges to write the code as ESXi has a subset of Python 2.7 which constrains some modules that can be used. 2. Prerequisites ---------------- The code requires Python 2.7 to work. Most Linux distros, ESXi and OS X ship with a compatible Python interpreter and should work without requiring any additional software. Windows has a packaged version of the Python script using PyInstaller, and so does not require Python to be installed. 3. Limitations -------------- If you are using VMware Player or Workstation on Windows you may get a core dump. Latest Linux and ESXi products are OK and do not show this problem. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | IMPORTANT: | | ========== | | | | If you create a new VM using version 11 or 12 hardware VMware may stop and | | create a core dump. There are two options to work around this issue: | | | | 1. Change the VM to be HW 10 - this does not affect performance. | | 2. Edit the VMX file and add: | | smc.version = "0" | | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ 4. Windows ---------- On Windows you will need to either run cmd.exe as Administrator or using Explorer right click on the command file and select "Run as administrator". win-install.cmd - patches VMware win-uninstall.cmd - restores VMware win-update-tools.cmd - retrieves latest OS X guest tools 5. Linux --------- On Linux you will need to be either root or use sudo to run the scripts. You may need to ensure the Linux scripts have execute permissions by running chmod +x against the 2 files. lnx-install.sh - patches VMware lnx-uninstall.sh - restores VMware lnx-update-tools.cmd - retrieves latest OS X guest tools 6. Mac OS X ----------- On Mac OS X you will need to be either root or use sudo to run the scripts. This is really only needed if you want to use client versions of Mac OS X. You may need to ensure the OS X scripts have execute permissions by running chmod +x against the 2 files. osx-install.sh - patches VMware osx-uninstall.sh - restores VMware 7. ESXi ------- You will need to transfer the zip file to the ESXi host either using vSphere client or SCP. Once uploaded you will need to either use the ESXi support console or use SSH to run the commands. Use the unzip command to extract the files. <<< WARNING: use a datastore volume to run the scripts >>> Please note that you will need to reboot the host for the patches to become active. The patcher is embbedded in a shell script local.sh which is run at boot from /etc/rc.local.d. You may need to ensure the ESXi scripts have execute permissions by running chmod +x against the 2 files. esxi-install.sh - patches VMware esxi-uninstall.sh - restores VMware Note: 1. Any changes you have made to local.sh will be lost. If you have made changes to that file, you will need to merge them into the supplied local.sh file. 2. The unlocker runs at boot time to patch the relevant files and it now survives an upgrade or patch to ESXi as local.sh is part of the persisted local state. 8. Thanks --------- Thanks to Zenith532 for originally building the C++ unlocker and Mac Son of Knife (MSoK) for all the testing and support. VMware Workstation 12, 11, 10 and 9 Unlocker to Run Mac OS X Guests on Windows 10, 8.1 and 7
If you are a Hackintosh user with desktop virtualization software VMware workstation, then the “VMware unlocker” is a compulsory utility to run Mac OS X virtual machines on Windows computer. This unlocker utility replaces few VMware program files and patches them to install and run latest OS X 10.11, 10.10 and older versions as virtual machines. Here is the download link of working unlocker for latest VMware Workstation 12, 11, 10 and other versions versions (all tested by me) on Windows 10, 8.1 64 bit and Windows 7 32 bit physical computers.
UPDATE (23-10-2015) – This post has been updated with VMware workstation 12 unlocker to run El Capitan, Yosemite and other Mac OS X guests on Windows PC, including Windows 10
This patch is essential if you wish to install and use Yosemite, Mountain Lion and Mavericks Mac OS X virtual machines as guest Operating Systems on VMware workstation 12 or 11. Earlier Mac OS X versions like Snow leopard 10.6 and leopard 10.5 can run on VMware desktop virtualization products without this patch. But the latest versions require this patch.
I have already published few guides about installing Mavericks, Mountain Lion and Lion OS X on VMware workstation by using this unlocker. I have demonstrated and tested the unlocker in VMware Workstation 7 series in previous post, but once it was upgraded to version 10, 9 or 8, it stopped working, its same for VMware workstation 12 too. Obviously, the upgrade process would have replaced earlier patched files, therefore I could not able to uses OS X guests. Using this VMware unlocker patch did the trick and now I can use Mac OX S virtual machines on Windows 10.
Extra Note:Some user reported that even after upgrading to VMware workstation 12 from previous version, their Mac OS virtual machine keep working without using this unlocker. I do not know the exact reason for it, therefore, after the upgrade you can directly try your existing Mac guest machines, if they do not work then use this patch to unlock Mac OS X support on Windows 10 or 8.1 laptop/desktop.
Unlocker 2.0.7 for VMware Workstation 12/11
I’m just a tester of this utility. Full credits should go the developer who produced a great tool. The latest version 2.0.7 added support for new Windows 10 and few Linux host Operating Systems. The unlocker version 2.0.7 works fine with the latest VMware workstation 12 and older versions such as 11.
Here is working El Capitan 10.11 on Windows 10 with VMware workstation 12 by using latest unlocker 2.0.7.
Though following screenshots are taken from older Windows Operating System, but the methods and installation steps are identical for Windows 10 too. Below is the state of VMware workstation’s guest OS support without patching. As you see, there is no Mac OS X support under Guest operating system list.
Download 2.0.7 Unlocker (Link below)
Visit the official site to download unlocker 2.0.7 ( free registration required).
How to Install Unlocker on Windows 10 for VMware Workstation 12/11
Close the all virtual machines and VMware workstation program. Right click on ‘win-install.cmd’ and select Run as administrator.
The script will stop the VMware services, copy few files and some other scripting stuff (you will see more about on-going process on the command prompt) and start the VMware services.
Once it has successfully patched the VMware workstation 12/11, you should be able to see the Mac OS X guest support as shown below.
That’s it, you should be able to install and use Mac OS X guest VMs on Windows computer now. Here is the working Mac OS X 10.10.1 on Windows 8.1 with VMware workstation 11.
Read below if you have older versions.
Unlocker for VMware workstation 10, 9, 8 and 7
The latest Unlocker 2.0.7 will work on most of the VMware workstation and Windows Operating Systems, but if you still have the older version, then you can follow below steps. I have not updated the screenshots for latest 1.1.1 unlocker or VMware workstation 10/9. The all below screenshots remain same with earlier versions (almost one year ago). But after seeing couple of positive feedback from users regarding this patch for VMware workstation 10 (in this link), I thought to update this post.
After applying patch with VMware unlocker – One more Guest OS type and versions.
For VMware workstation 7.0 series.
You can download our earlier Sysprobs_lion files set which is having unlocker for 7.0 series.
How to Use Unlocker
Its very simple. Close all VMware programs (if opened)
Extract the downloaded file. The latest Unlocker is having patch for Windows, Linux, Fusion 4.0 on Snow Leopard and Lion and VMware ESXi 5.
Before run the patch, its recommended to take a backup of VMware program folder, because this patch will replace the original files. Even though the utility takes backup which can be replaced later if required, but its good to have a backup copy taken by you.
Right click on install.cmd file and select run as administrator option as shown below. ( or you can start the command prompt as administrator in Windows 7 computer and execute install.cmd from command prompt)
The successful patch will return the following screen (and disappears automatically)
That’s it. You patched the VMware workstation 10, 9, 8 on Windows 7 host to run Mac OS X Lion guest. Restarting the host computer is not required here.
Here is the working Mountain Lion OS X 10.8 in VMware workstation 9 with Windows 7 32 bit host after running unlocker.
I hope this guide would be helpful in getting the download link of VMware workstation unlocker and how to install it on Windows 10/8.1 for VMware workstation 12/11 to get most of the latest Mac OS X version including OS X 10.11 El Capitan and Yosemite.

Unlock Samsung R208 Phone | Unlock Code
How to Unlock Samsung R208?
Our instructions are GLOBAL instructions for all unlocking services. Instructions about unfreeze are meant for people who have purchased a FACTORY SAMSUNG GENUINE UNLOCK CODES service, which include UNFREEZE code. If you have purchased a carrier unlock code (from you network provider): this service does not include UNFREEZE code. If you have FREEZED your phone, the unlock network code won't help to unfreeze, only unfreeze code will reset freezed phones.
Step 1: Determine the lock level of your Samsung
If you have ordered unlock codes from our website, you will have been pleased to see that every possible unlock code has been emailed to you.
The unlock codes emailed to you will look something like this:Unfreeze: 12345678 NCK: 12345678 SCK: 12345678 SPCK: 12345678
Most networks only lock their Samsung handsets with the NCK lock enabled. Therefore you should only need to use this code when following the input instructions (see step 2). However some networks will have dual locks in place (whereby the NCK and another lock is enabled) or they may have just an alternative lock level such as SCK or SPCK.
It is best practice to be 100% sure which lock level is present on your handset, to do this follow these instructions:
Enter the following code into your handset while it is turned on and connected to its locked network.
By this we mean the connected to the network your handset is locked to (if you are locked to Orange, insert an Orange SIM card into your handset)
Once connected, enter this code: *#7465625#
A menu will be displayed that will resemble the following...
1. [xxx] Network lock2. [xxx] Subset lock3. [xxx] SP lock
(xxx = Value ON or OFF)
If only the Network lock is displayed saying ON then you will only need to use the NCK code with the instructions below. If you see the Subset lock value as ON then you will need the SCK code and if you see the SP lock value as ON you will need the SPCK code.
The unfreeze code we send you should only be needed if:
(a) You accidentally freeze your handset by entering too many incorrect codes or not following our unlock instructions accurately.(b) Your handset displays the 'phone freeze' message whenever an alternative network SIM card is inserted into your phone prior to it being unlocked.(c) You see the 'return for service' message.
Now you know the correct lock level of your handset and thus the correct code required for input, you may continue...
NB: If your handset does not accept the code to locate your lock level, simply move straight on to step 2 of this guide...
Step 2 : Input Instructions
1 - Switch ON your phone with a not Accepted SIM Card,2 - Phone will ask for "Password",3 - You can now enter the Unlock Code we send to you.
OR (if phone show "Insert Correct SIM Card")
1 - Switch ON your phone with a not Accepted SIM Card,2 - Compose : #0111*CODE#
1 - Switch ON your phone with an unaccepted SIM Card,2 - The Phone will then ask for the Code or Password3 - You can now enter the Unlock Code we sent to you.
Step 3: Trouble Shooting
If your handset freezes for whatever reason and displays the 'Phone Freeze' or 'Return for Service' message then you will need to use the unfreeze code that was issued with your unlock codes.
Below you will see a list of instructions for entering the unfreeze code into different models of Samsung handsets.
Choose the handset instructions closest to your own model if it is not directly available. (i.e. if you have a Samsung i900, consider using the Samsung F480 unfreeze instructions).
NB: Unfreeze instructions are given as an added bonus to your unlock service. This is not the service you purchased and therefore it is provided free of charge.
Reasons for "Phone Freeze"
1. Inputting the unfreeze code rather than the unlock code into your handset.
2. Following the incorrect input procedure for your handset (these must be followed 100% correctly).
